About Susan Choi
The first time I ever picked up a golf club was when I was 3 years old, from one of those snoopy plastic club sets. My dad would bring me to the range occasionally. It wasn’t until high school that my dad realized that I had a natural swing and perhaps a talent for the game. However, I was very busy focusing on other things like cello, piano and singing. In my senior year I finally decided to join my high school golf team. The high school I went to didn’t have a girls team so I ended up playing on the boys team. I did pretty good, but it wasn’t until my second year of college that I realized how much I enjoyed competing, practicing, and playing this great game of golf. I played Varsity golf at Wellesley College all four years. This experience triggered a passion in me, and made me realize that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I started competing in local and national events my Junior year at Wellesley and had some pretty good success, but most importantly, I loved it! I’m excited about the journey I have ahead of me!
